Gionna and Braden’s intimate backyard California elopement was absolutely beautiful and such a dream to capture! Initially, Gionna had reached out to me to photograph their entire wedding day. Then after a couple weeks they decided they didn’t want to wait. They asked me if I was available the following week to photograph their intimate ceremony, and of course, I said YES! Only their parent’s attended and Gionna’s dad married them. It was truly the sweetest day filled with so much love. I’m so happy that I had the opportunity to capture these special moments for Braden and Gionna!

This backyard elopement truly goes to show that you don’t need much to have a beautiful day that showcases your love! You can do exactly what Gionna and Braden did. Buy or rent a beautiful dress and tux, get some stunning florals, secure a private location like family property, and get a bottle of champagne with some beautiful glassware for a celebration afterwards! And of course, secure your California elopement photographer 😉 Traditional weddings are beautiful, but so are elopements! I love that couples are changing it up and doing exactly what they envision for their special day. You don’t have to host a 200+ guest wedding. It can be as big or as intimate as you want it, and it will turn out beautiful nonetheless.
